Multi-elemental determination of trace elements in deep seawater by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with resin preconcentration

Abstract
海水中の微量元素を定量するため，イミノ二酢酸基を有するキレート樹脂（Muromac A-1）を詰めたミニカラムを用いて微量元素を濃縮した．濃縮後，カラムに酢酸アンモニウム緩衝液（pH 5.5）と精製水を流し，分析の妨害となるCa，Mgを除去した．その後，分析対象元素を2 mol l－1の硝酸で溶離した．測定は誘導結合プラズマ（ICP）質量分析法及びICP発光分光分析法により行った．本法により26元素が定量可能となった．測定に要した試料は200 mlである．Al，V，Thの回収率は70％ 以下であったが，それ以外のほとんどの元素では90％ 以上であった．分析の信頼性を標準物質NASS-4（NRC Canada）を用いて確認した結果，本法の値は保証値とよく一致していた．本法により海洋深層水（高知県室戸市）及び表層海水の分析を行った．海洋深層水中の微量元素濃度は，表層水に比べて，栄養塩型では高く，捕獲型では低くなり，海洋学的な知見と一致していた．また，希土類元素濃度を規格化し，そのパターンを調べたところ，深層水ではCe(III) が酸化されてCe(IV) となり，粒子態として除去されている現象を裏付ける結果が認められた．
