Abstract
Au cours des dernières années, l'analyse des liaisons interindustrielles a essentiellement été appliquée aux grandes agglomérations afin d'évaluer surtout le rôle des liaisons comme facteur de localisation (économies d'agglomérations). Le présent article, pour sa part, examine les liaisons matérielles des établissements manufacturiers de la région Mauricie-Bois-Francs, région du proche hinterland québécois, afin de caractériser leur comportement spatial. Les résultats de l'enquête laissent entrevoir une région qui participe à la fois aux caractéristiques des régions périphériques et à celles des régions du centre. Concrètement, l'analyse des liaisons matérielles a révélé que la région à l'étude, prise globalement, possède un caractère d'extraversion prononcée, qu'elle se rattache d'abord à l'économie québécoise — le reste du Québec précédant Montréal — et ensuite au marché international, le marché canadien pour sa part étant beaucoup moins important. Cependant, une analyse plus fine tenant compte de la taille des établissements et de la nature des productions a mis en lumière des comportements variés qui parfois s'écartent considérablement des résultats globaux.
