Abstract
Jusqu’à présent, la réflexion traductologique s’est inscrite dans le paradigme d’une théorie formaliste. De fait, les théories linguistiques de la traduction, dans le prolongement du structuralisme, prétendent à une grande objectivité. Face à cet hyperpositivisme, les théories interprétatives s’ouvrent largement au constructivisme. Toutefois, si l’opération traduisante peut être définie comme une succession de prises de décisions, celles-ci ne sont pas le résultat d’un raisonnement purement rationnel fondé sur des règles d’inférence rigoureuses, mais sont l’aboutissement d’un mécanisme caractérisé par la rationalité limitée. Le processus de prise de décision est piloté par l’attention sélective et régi par les émotions, positionnant ainsi l’opération traduisante entre raison et émotion.
