Abstract
<titre>Résumé</titre> Le discutant constate que le modèle de la modernité occidentale –école comprise– où l’emporte le modèle de l’État national territorial, a été travesti en normes internationales diffusées comme condition d’intégration des pays du Sud au jeu de la mondialisation. La généralisation d’un modèle idéal unique de l’établissement efficace lui sert à démontrer l’installation partout de formes semblables de gouvernement et de gestion à l’échelon de l’État et du système éducatif. À cet égard, les textes de Hutmacher et de Nyamba sonnent comme une interpellation réciproque. Évolution inexorable dont la sociologie de l’éducation doit dégager les mécanismes et les issues, défi moral et critique posé aux sociologues africains d’une modernisation propre à leurs pays, on ne peut échapper à la gageure d’un projet de construction d’un champ de connaissances et d’une théorie critique.
