La recherche en sciences infirmières connaît une progression lente dans plusieurs milieux cliniques. Il est essentiel de favoriser l’émergence d’une culture de recherche dans ces milieux en optant pour une action concertée afin que de réels changements se produisent. C’est dans cette perspective que se sont associées les directions de la Faculté des sciences infirmières de l’Université de Montréal, du Centre de Recherche et des soins infirmiers du centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine (CHU). L’expérience du CHU est unique et mérite qu’on s’y attarde pour le bénéfice des infirmières et l’avancement de la profession. Le présent article rend compte du plan stratégique élaboré à cette fin et des principales réalisations accomplies à ce jour.
