Abstract
Un neuvième inventaire quinquennal de la population de faucons pèlerins du Québec méridional a été réalisé en 2010. Plus de 170 personnes, associées à diverses organisations ou bénévoles, ont effectué 542 relevés aux 134 territoires de nidification retenus pour l’inventaire. La présence d’un couple territorial a été signalée dans 98 territoires et au moins un adulte a été observé dans 16 autres. Depuis l’inventaire de 2005, 58 nouveaux territoires de nidification ont été découverts et 54 d’entre eux étaient occupés en 2010. La croissance de la population de faucons pèlerins du sud du Québec a ralenti par rapport à celle qui a été observée lors des inventaires de 2000 et de 2005. Les résultats de l’inventaire 2010 indiquent que la croissance de la population de faucons pèlerins dans le sud du Québec se poursuit. Bien que le rythme soit inférieur aux inventaires précédents, la population est en voie de rétablissement.
