Pulmonale Hypertonie (PH) wird mit erhöhter Mortalität von Patienten mit idiopathischer Lungenfibrose (IPF) assoziiert. Arbeiten an IPF Lungen zeigen eine verminderte VEGF Expression bei gesteigerter PEDF Expression in fibrotischen Arealen, besonders in den fibroblastischen Foci. Die vorliegende Studie befasste sich mit der Bedeutung der Angiogeneseinhibition für die Genese der PH in einem Tiermodell der Lungenfibrose, das auf der transienten Überexpression von TGF-β1 beruht.
