Abstract
Une des solutions employées par certains traducteurs face à une difficulté de restitution en langue cible est la note du traducteur (N.d.T.). Cet article traite des caractéristiques de la note en général et des types d'oeuvres dans lesquelles on rencontre des N.d.T. Il examine la situation du traducteur et des moyens dont il dispose pour résoudre certains problèmes, en particulier celui de l'explicitation d'éléments implicites dans l'original.
