Ce texte prsente des sujets lis aux documents de districts scolaires qui sont conservs aux Provincial Archives of Alberta (PAA).La premire partie exami ne les faons dont la lgislation provinciale a cr les districts scolaires et modifi leur administration et leur gouvernance.La deuxime partie explore la faon dont ces changements ont eu une incidence sur les personnes qui ont vers des documents des districts scolaires aux PAA, ainsi que sur le genre de documents inclus dans ces versements.Enfin, ce texte fait l'analyse de la loi provinciale sur la Freedom of Information and Protection and Privacy [Libert de l'information et protection et vie prive] et montre comment cette lgislation gouverne l'accs aux documents des districts scolaires qui sont conservs aux PAA.En fin de compte, ce texte encourage les archivistes se renseigner au sujet de cette lgislation et diffuser cette infor mation leur clientle, afin d'amliorer la satisfaction de ceux qui frquentent les archives.
