Abstract
Cette étude vise à circonscrire la représentation que les enseignants de sciences ont des divers aspects de leur travail; cette description est effectuée à partir de ce qu'une trentaine de chercheurs ont observé et transmis dans des articles consacrés aux enseignants et publiés dans le journal of Research in Science Teachings, dans Science Education au cours de la dernière décennie. Notre analyse rapporte successivement le point de vue de l'enseignant sur les programmes, le contexte, les élèves, les enseignants et l'intervention d'enseignement proprement dite; elle permet de dégager un portrait de la réalité quotidienne de l'enseignant de sciences, telle que celui-ci la perçoit ou telle que permet de la percevoir la recherche qualitative.
