Abstract
A busca pela motivação dos funcionários é uma ferramenta importante para se destacar no universo empresarial, pois possuir trabalhadores cada vez mais motivados significa tê-los mais empenhados em desempenhar as suas funções na organização. Esta pesquisa propõe-se a identificar o nível de afinidade dos professores da Universidade Federal de Roraima (UFRR) com as Teorias de Motivação por meio de uma pesquisa quantitativa e exploratória, com uso de questionários para a coleta de dados. Conforme os resultados, os professores tiveram maior identificação com a Teoria das Necessidades Socialmente Adquirida. A Teoria X e Y se sobressaiu de forma negativa, atingindo 33% de aceitação. Além disso, procurou-se estabelecer uma relação entre a escolaridade e a aceitação das teorias motivacionais em geral. Os docentes com pós-graduação obtiveram o maior índice de 67% de aceitação. Conclui-se que as teorias motivacionais foram bem aceitas por parte da comunidade docente da UFRR, evidenciando a confiabilidade das teorias mais utilizadas no âmbito da Psicologia Organizacional.
