Résumé Le dicton «Un travailleur heureux est un travailleur productif» fait partie du sens commun pour plusieurs cadres, mais comment peut-on amener les employés à s’épanouir au travail? Qu’est-ce que le bien-être psychologique au travail et comment est-il possible de l’améliorer? Malgré l’intérêt croissant que soulèvent ces questions, on en sait beaucoup plus sur la manière de traiter des problèmes de santé mentale au travail que sur la manière de favoriser une excellente santé psychologique au travail. Sur la base de notre étude et des différents écrits scientifiques sur le sujet, nous présentons les cinq ingrédients clés du bien-être psychologique au travail : entretenir des relations interpersonnelles positives, s’épanouir dans son travail, se sentir compétent, se sentir reconnu dans son travail et désirer s’engager activement dans son milieu de travail. Afin d’aider les cadres à agir sur ces composantes essentielles, nous énonçons des stratégies d’intervention propres à chacune d’elles, en suggérant des applications sur les plans individuel, collectif et organisationnel, puis nous listons certaines conditions de succès et des défis à relever en la matière. Au moyen de ces stratégies de gestion accessibles, il paraît réaliste de faire de chaque milieu de travail un endroit où l’on peut tendre vers une expérience de travail saine et optimale.
