Abstract
Après un bref survol de l’évolution du design d’interfaces et sa focalisation sur l’expérience utilisateur, nous présentons le travail de création comme cycles d’idéation-tests, illustré par une analogie avec la programmation en génie logiciel (cycle théorie-test). Cette analogie permettra de se prononcer de manière critique sur la surestimation de la valeur des tests d’utilisabilité qui dépendent exclusivement des tests pour établir une conformité entre ce que fait l’interface et ce que l’on veut qu’elle fasse, et ce, sans recours à une « théorie » autre que l’expérience ou le mimétisme de bonnes réalisations antérieures. Le recours à des systèmes sémiotiques langagiers prédéfinis et sémantiquement ancrés sera soutenu pour épauler théoriquement la pratique des tests. Pour ce faire, nous présentons brièvement quelques illustrations via la sémantique intertextuelle (Marcoux 2006, Marcoux-Rizkallah 2009) et arguons que l’usage de cette dernière pour le design d’interfaces serait susceptible d’éclairer la phase d’idéation ainsi que d’éviter les cas fréquents d’interfaces « trompeuses ».
