Abstract
Pendant quelques décennies, les anthropologues ont débattu de la nécessité d’instaurer d’autres flux et échanges internationaux des connaissances universitaires. De la même manière que nous abordons d’autres conceptions de la mondialisation, il est nécessaire de prendre en considération la connaissance déjà accumulée dans le cadre de ce débat, ainsi que ses possibilités et contraintes. Nous considérons ici les changements qui se sont produits dans l’anthropologie au niveau mondial en lien avec le niveau d’intégration national et l’internationalisation hégémonique qui imposent des limites structurelles à la pratique des anthropologues, malgré la réalité d’une tendance à l’universalisation propre à la discipline. Nous recourons à la notion de cosmopolitique pour aborder les problèmes inhérents à l’intégration pluraliste de la discipline. Cela contribue à mieux définir, à partir d’un angle différent, les dilemmes et les défis auxquels nous sommes confrontés. Le World Anthropologies Network et le World Council of Anthropological Associations sont présentés comme des initiatives visant à stimuler le pluralisme au coeur de l’anthropologie mondiale. Pouvons-nous « débabéliser » l’anthropologie? Pouvons-nous espérer atteindre une anthropologie mondiale réellement diversifiée?
