Abstract
Questo lavoro nasce da un dibattito sviluppatosi nella fase di preparazione delle celebrazioni del ventesimo anniversario della legge istitutiva della Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa. Venne allora suggerita una riflessione in chiave problematica sul rapporto tra l’evoluzione della Scuola e lo sviluppo della società italiana a partire dal secondo dopoguerra, sviluppo nel quale numerosi ex-allievi avevano svolto ruoli di primaria importanza nella classe dirigente del Paese. Il progetto, seguito per la Scuola da Nicola Bellini, è stato affidato al coordinamento di Nadio Delai, sociologo e coordinatore dei Rapporti che l’Università LUISS ha dedicato negli ultimi anni al tema della classe dirigente italiana. Il possibile ruolo della formazione universitaria nel contribuire ai suoi connotati identitari ed al suo sistema di valori è messo in luce dal “caso Sant’Anna” in modo particolare (e non omogeneo con altre rilevazioni a livello nazionale). Il volume si articola lungo tre prospettive di ricerca: quella storica, che ha ripercorso idee e personaggi delle prime fasi; quella di analisi dei risultati di un questionario rivolto ai membri dell’Associazione ex-allievi; quella di analisi “reputazionale” del collocamento e della notorietà degli ex-allievi della Scuol
