Abstract
Autor u radu prikazuje položaj ovlaštenih službenih osoba u Bosni i Hercegovini i njihovu ulogu u novom kaznenoprocesnom zakonodavstvu iz 2003.godine.Naime, novim Zakonom o kaznenom postupku u Bosni i Hercegovini izvršena je cjelovita reforma kaznenog postupka u okviru koje su ovlaštene službene osobe dobile znatno veća ovlaštenja tako da sada, pored raznovrsnih potražnih ili neformalnih radnji, mogu samostalno preduzimati i većinu istražnih ili formalnih radnji koje su prije bile u isključivoj nadležnosti tužitelja ili istražnog sudije.Tako su ovlaštene službene osobe od subjekata koji su preduzimali svoje aktivnosti isključivo u pretkaznenom postupku postale najvažniji sporedni subjekti kaznenog postupka sa velikim obimom ovlaštenja, ali i odgovornosti, i nezamjenjivom ulogom u prethodnom postupku.U ovom će radu autor, kroz cjelovit prikaz aktivnost ovlaštenih službenih osoba u prethodnom postupku, upravo prikazati tu njihovu ulogu te utvrditi da je istraga prestala biti u isključivoj nadležnosti tužitelja i da je poprimila karakter tužiteljsko-policijske istrage, odnosno istrage koju zajednički sprovode tužitelj i ovlaštene službene osobe.Takav koncept istrage, za koji se može reći da je rezultat prirodnog razvoja kaznenog postupka u Bosni i Hercegovini, i pored nekih nedostataka, u praksi je pokazao da ima nesumnjive prednosti jer prvenstveno doprinosi efi kasnosti kaznenog postupka i omogućava ovlaštenim službenim osobama da daleko brže, jednostavnije i efi kasnije preduzimaju potrebne istražne radnje u postupku otkrivanja i dokazivanja kaznenih djela.Ključne riječi: ovlaštene službene osobe,
