Abstract
En se référant à certains ouvrages critiques fondamentaux, cette étude présente, dans un premier temps, une rétrospective des idéologies qui sous-tendent le traitement auquel certains dramaturges canadiens d’expression française ont soumis quelques grands classiques du théâtre européen au cours des trente-cinq dernières années. Ensuite, l’auteure verse au dossier trois pièces qui ponctuent ce parcours et en les confrontant avec leurs modèles respectifs, elle inventorie le concept de l’adaptation théâtrale et ses liens spécifiques avec la traduction.
