Caron, Caroline (2003) Que lisent les jeunes filles?Une analyse thmatique de la presse ados au Qubec , Pratiques psychologiques, no 3, p. 49-61.-2 - RSUMCet article prsente une partie des rsultats produits par une analyse de contenu de la presse fminine pour adolescentes produite et distribue au Qubec.Elle avait pour but d'interroger la reprsentation de la fminit et des rapports entre les femmes et les hommes vhicule dans ces publications.L'hypothse selon laquelle ce contenu est conservateur plutt qu'galitaire est valide et permet de considrer ce mdia comme un agent de socialisation traditionnelle.La rpartition des articles (N=253) selon le thme rvle que prs des deux tiers (64,8 %) du contenu produit par les quipes rdactionnelles traitent de la beaut, de la mode, des garons, des relations htrosexuelles et des vedettes masculines.Plus du tiers (35,2 %) touche au dveloppement personnel et social, mais la lecture attentive rvle qu'ils ngligent la dimension sociale de l'identit, au profit d'une insistance marque pour la dimension personnelle.
