La srie Collection Savoirs et Curiosit se vante de mettre disposition de l'honnte homme des textes rares, tout en y ajoutant des analyses exigeantes. Cette dition par Pierre Martin arrive bien raliser ce double but. En fait, Martin offre au lecteur non seulement un moyen de s' approcher d'un texte peu connu (texte qu'il avoue avoir choisi plus ou moins au hasard), mais en mme temps une entre dans le monde emblmatique qui joua un rle essentiel, partout en Europe, au seizime et au dix-septime sicle. Monde d' ailleurs qui n' est pas si loin du ntre, profitant du jeu entre texte et image pour nous instruire et nous divertir.
