Abstract
This issue of Inclusion is the first of a two-part special topic issue celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act, signed into law on July 26, 1990. The first part of this two-part issue is being published at the beginning of the year, marking the anniversary of this landmark civil rights act. Guest Editor Peter Blanck's introduction details the articles in this first issue. The second part of this special topic issue will be published toward the end of the year, bracketing the anniversary year. This second issue will contain contributions from a number of noted scholars and advocates, including Robert Dinerstein, Professor of Law at American University; Lex Frieden, Professor of Biomedical Informatics and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and colleagues; Elyn Saks, Professor of Law, Psychology, and Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences at the University of Southern California; Jutta Treviranus, Director of the Inclusive Design Research Centre at the Ontario (CA) College of Art and Design University; and Ari Ne'eman, President and Co-founder of the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network.
