Abstract
International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation（ILCOR：国際蘇生連絡協議会）は 1992 年に発足した文字通りの国際組織である。蘇生に関する研究や教育活動の推進にあたって国際的な協力を推し進めることを目的としている。発足の契機となったのは蘇生に関する AmericanHeart Association（AHA）のガイドライン 1992年版の策定作業である。この作業は米国以外にもヨーロッパを中心とした世界各国の研究者が協力して進められたが，この際の協力関係を継続すべきであるとの共通認識が生まれたことが契機になった。発足当初の加盟国（団体）は，AHA，EuropeanResuscitation Council（ERC），Heart and StrokeFoundation of Canada（HSFC），Australian andNew Zealand Committee on Resuscitation（ARC &NZRC），Resuscitation Councils of Southern Africa（RCSA）および Inter American Heart Foundation（IAHF）の 6 団体である（図 1）。この時点においては加盟団体が備えるべき条件に明確な規定はなかったが，原則として各国あるいは地域において，蘇生に関連する複数の団体から構成され，かつ蘇生に関するガイドラインを策定する権限をもつ団体であることが望ましいとされていた。
