Abstract
Este artículo analiza la novela Los recuerdos del porvenir, de Elena Garro, en tanto “novela de deformación”. Esto es, en tanto novela que resiste y deconstruye los discursos dominantes de formación del sujeto moderno en un contexto específico (en este caso, el México posrevolucionario y sus férreas políticas de formación de nuevos ciudadanos). Apoyado en las teorías de Walter Benjamin y Giorgio Agamben sobre la alienación de la experiencia del sujeto moderno, en la historia de la infancia en el México posrevolucionario, y mediante el uso de instrumental narratológico y de análisis del discurso, el autor propone una lectura de la novela donde la infancia se presenta no como una edad ni como una etapa del desarrollo sino como una resistencia, local y colectiva, a la formación de subjetividades impuesta por el gobierno, la Iglesia y la sociedad burguesa: tres instancias que se disputaban cartas de legitimidad en la redistribución de poderes del nuevo orden posrevolucionario.
