Selon le recensement Portrait de la population canadienne (E-Stat, 2006) et les Estimations de la population (E-Stat, 2010), la population canadienne et quebecoise depassant 55 ans augmente de facon importante et progressive depuis les dix dernieres annees. En 2051, la population âgee de plus de 64 ans devrait atteindre 25% de la population totale. Avec le vieillissement de la population canadienne, la longevite moyenne s'accroit graduellement. Pour mieux repondre a cette nouvelle realite, de nouveaux programmes educatifs pour le troisieme âge doivent etre developpes (Conseil canadien sur l'apprentissage-CCA, 2006). Ce travail a pour but de presenter ma demarche de developpement professionnel qui se situe dans le cadre de la Maitrise en education concentration en andragogie. Cet essai presente le developpement et la mise a l'essai d'un programme educatif en espagnol axe sur les hypotheses de base du modele andragogique et adapte aux besoins des apprenants¹ adultes du troisieme âge. Le programme de formation propose est planifie d'apres les travaux de Rivard (2009). Il est compose des quatre etapes suivantes: l'identification et l'analyse des besoins de formation, la planification et la conception de la formation, la diffusion de la formation, l'evaluation et le suivi postformation. Il s'agit d'un atelier de 20 heures qui se veut un espace d'expression et de creativite. ¹Dans ce projet, l'emploi du genre masculin a ete adopte avec une valeur neutre dans le but de faciliter sa lecture.
