Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the relationship between teachers‘ spiritual intelligence and their motivation of teaching and their (teachers‘ spiritual intelligence and their motivation) effects on Iranian EFL learners‘ achievement. To this end, 120 EFL students and 10 teachers at Fars, Farashband high schools participated in the study. The data were obtained through administrating two questionnaires and the students‘ final scores that their teachers took them. Spiritual intelligence questionnaire was administered to investigate the respondents‘ level of spiritual intelligence, and the teacher motivation questionnaire was administered to achieve the information regarding the teachers‘ motivation. The findings indicated that there was a significant relationship between teachers‘ spiritual intelligence and their motivation of teaching. Also, there was a significant relationship between teacher motivation and student achievement. But there was not any significant relationship between teachers‘ spiritual intelligence and students‘ achievement.
