Abstract
À partir de la fin des années 1980, il est possible de remarquer chez les auteurs franco-ontariens et acadiens une volonté de se distancer des thématiques liées à l’affirmation identitaire. Ces thèmes étaient en effet très présents dans la littérature des années 1970. Or, cette volonté des auteurs se reflète-t-elle dans la lecture critique? L’objectif de cette thèse était donc de déterminer la place des thématiques associées à l’identité collective à la fois dans les pièces et dans les textes critiques. L’étude de la réception critique des pièces de théâtre La vie et les temps de Médéric Boileau d’André Paiement (Ontario, 1973), Évangéline deusse d’Antonine Maillet (Acadie, 1975), Eddy de Jean Marc Dalpé (Ontario, 1994) et Laurie ou La vie de galerie d’Herménéglide Chiasson (Acadie, 1998) montre que le mode de lecture diffère surtout selon le type de critique (journalistique ou savante) et sa provenance par rapport à l’origine de l’auteur (locale ou extérieure à sa communauté d’origine).
