Abstract
O presente paper, de caráter exploratório-descritivo, tem por objeto de estudo uma atividade artesanal que está em claro processo de desaparecimento no litoral sul do estado do Espírito Santo: o(a) ofício de remendador(a) e fabricante de rede de pesca artesanal. Busca-se realizar o registro de tal atividade em sua riqueza sócio-antropológica por meio da etnografia visual, convidando os leitores a entrarem na espessura da memória contida nas imagens, numa posição de interlocutores e leitores. Contatou-se, dentre outros pontos, que as transformações das condições de realização da atividade têm provocado mudanças em suas práticas sociais.Palavras-chave: Remendador de Rede de Pesca. Antropologia Visual.Maker and patcher of nets: a look from the perspective of visual ethnographyAbstractThis article, of an exploratory-descriptive nature, has as its objective the study of a craft which is clearly in the process of disappearing from the southern coast of the state of Espírito Santo: the craft of the repair and production of fishnets. We are attempting to create a record of such activity in its socio-anthropological richness by means of visual ethnography, inviting readers, as speakers and readers, to go back into the thickness of memory contained in images. It was noted, among other points, that changes in the conditions for undertaking this activity have caused changes in its social practices.Keywords: Fishnet Patcher. Disappearance.
