Abstract
A educacao historica e uma linha de pesquisa cujo eixo teorico norteador encontra-se nas matrizes epistemologicas de Jorn Rusen. Este defende que: “os historiadores deveriam discutir as regras e os principios da composicao da historia como problemas de ensino e aprendizagens”2. Considera que o “[...] melhor ponto de partida parece ser aquele que, na vida corrente, surge como consciencia historica [...]. Para Rusen, o pensamento historico constitui-se como uma ciencia3. A partir dos “anos 70” emergem preocupacoes de como se ensina e de que maneira se ensinam os temas de Historia aos jovens ou adultos em diferentes paises, entre os quais estao: “Inglaterra, Estados Unidos e Canada. Outros paises como Portugal e a Espanha [e tambem o Brasil] seguem actualmente a mesma esteira”4. Deste modo, os investigadores “[...] reunidos em torno da area da Educacao Historica instauraram, consolidaram e estao difundindo as pesquisas em torno da cognicao historica”5. A preocupacao e como se ensina e de que maneira se ensinam os temas de Historia aos jovens ou adultos.
