Abstract
본 연구에서는 탈북자의 문화적응을 측정하기 위해, 벤쿠버 문화적응척도(Vancouver Index of Acculturation)를 탈북자에 적절하게 번안하여 탈북청소년 70명을 대상으로 척도 타당화 작업을 실시하였다. 탈북자 문화적응 척도의 신뢰도 계수(Cronbach α)는 척도 전체 .63, 북한문화적응 하위척도 .80, 남한문화적응 하위척도 .82로 나타났다. 북한문화적응, 남한문화적응의 두 개의 하위척도를 잘 대표하는 문항을 선정하기 위해 문항-하위척도간 상관이 낮은 문항 4개를 제거한 후, 탈북자 문화적응척도의 2요인 구조에 대한 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 적합도 지수 CFI .865, TLI .830, RMSEA .080으로 나타나, 남한문화적응과 북한문화적응의 2개의 요인 구조가 적절한 모델임이 입증되었다. 구성타당도를 알아보기 위해 문화적응 관련 변인, 탈북자 심리적 문화적응전략 유형척도, 북한소속감 척도와의 상관을 분석한 결과, 관련 변인들이 대체로 유의한 결과를 보여 구성타당도를 지지하였다. 한편, 자기효능감과는 유의한 상관을 보이지 않아 이질적인 구성개념과 변별되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로, 탈북자 문화적응척도가 남한 공교육경험이 있는 집단과 공교육경험이 없는 집단을 잘 변별해주는지 살펴본 결과, 유의한 차이를 보여 두 집단을 타당하게 구분하는 것으로 나타났다. 본연구의 의의 및 제한점과 후속 연구방향을 제시하였다.
