Abstract
O grande número de óbitos no mundo, devido a complicações cardiovasculares, tem impulsionado cada vez mais pesquisas sobre agentes trombolíticos. A nattokinase, uma enzima microbiana, tem mostrado alta eficiência na lise de coágulos, sendo considerada promissora na terapia da trombose e doenças relacionadas. Esta enzima é produzida pelo microrganismo Bacillus subtilis natto por processo fermentativo em condições de cultivo adequadas. De acordo com alguns autores, a composição do meio de cultivo tem sido considerada um dos fatores primordiais para a produção de nattokinase pela bactéria. Dentro desse contexto, esse trabalho avaliou o efeito de diferentes fontes de carbono e nitrogênio na produção de nattokinase por Bacillus subtilis utilizando um planejamento fatorial fracionado 2 (8-4). Dentre as fontes de carbono avaliadas, glicose e maltose mostraram um efeito significativo e positivo sobre a produção da enzima. Das fontes de nitrogênio selecionadas, apenas peptona de soja foi significativa para produção de nattokinase.
