Abstract
월성1호기 탈기응축기 노즐 N6-1 용접부에서 1994년 가동 중 검사 중 2개의 용접 결함이 발견되었다. 결함1은 탈기응축기 외벽부터 깊이 29㎜위치에서 길이 182㎜, 폭 13㎜이고 결함2는 깊이 32㎜ 위치에서 길이 32㎜, 폭 10㎜로 측정되었다. 발견된 결함은 이후 가동중 검사에서 지속적으로 결함 크기의 성장여부를 판단하기위해 검사되고 기록되어왔다. 탈기응축기는 안전성등급 1등급 압력용기로 결함의 크기가 안전성 평가에서 계속운전이 가능한 크기로 평가 되어 2010년까지 계속운전이 되었다. 하지만 탈기응축기의 건전성을 확보하기 위해 2010년 장기 계획예방정비 중 2개의 결함용접부에 대해 보수 용접정비를 실시하였다. 강탈기응축기의 기능은 냉각재 계통에서 배출되는 유량을 수용하고 가압기에서 배출되는 증기수용 및 응축, 냉각재계통의 냉각재 탈기, 냉각재계통의 대체 배출유량 냉각이다. 형태는 양단 반구형 탱크로 내부에 전열기를 내장하고 있다. 설계온도는 600℉(316℃), 설계압력은 1550 psi(10.69㎫)이며 크기는 78in ID(1.981m) × 294.25in Height(7.474m), 제작 적용기술기준은 ASME Section Ⅲ Class 1 1974 Edition through 1975 Winter Addenda 이다. 제작사는 Dominion Bridge (Canada)이며 설치위치는 원자로 검물 내부 R-501 Room(Floor Elevation 117.5m)이다. 결함용접부는 식별번호 3332-TK2-12 (DC-12, Weld ID W13) 노즐번호 N6-1 이며 본 노즐은 과압 방출출구배관 노즐로 3332-4D-011(4inch, Sch 80, SA106-B) 배관과 연결되고 용접형태는 Shell to Nozzle의 Butt Weld이다. 본 논문에서는 월성1호기 탈기응축기 노즐 용접결함부 정비내용을 서술하고 기술적 사항을 검토하며 1등급 압력용기의 보수용접 사례를 소개하고자 한다.
