Abstract
Artículo N°24.Se aplicaron Surveys descriptivos a dos muestras de becarios universitarios mapuche de la Araucanía, el primero en los años 1977-78 y el segundo entre los años 1996-98. Utilizando diversos instrumentos de recolección de información, tales como cuestionarios autoadministrados, autobiografías, y escalas de medición para determinar aculturación, percepción social de ser objeto de prejuicio, y a su vez indagar prejuicio hacia el no mapuche o winka.Uno de los objetivos era comparar en ambos grupos de becarios mapuche si existian diferencias significativas respecto a sus experiencias de vida universitaria según las décadas en que estudiaron, indagando aspectos socioeconómicos, educacionales, psicosociales y etnoculturales.Se planteó la hipótesis de que los procesos y símbolos de autoidentificación étnica persisten en ambos grupos, a pesar del paulatino proceso de aculturación a que han estado expuestos desde la Educación Básica.Parte de este trabajo corresponde al Proyecto Didufro N°9618, y se presentó más ampliado en el XIV Congreso Mundial de Sociología, realizado en Montreal, Canadá, del 26 de Julio al 1° de Agosto de 1998.
