Abstract
Construit sous la forme d’un dialogue entre Emmanuelle Lallement, qui a été formée à l’anthropologie des mondes contemporains en France, et Yves Winkin, qui a établi la plateforme de l’anthropologie de la communication, l’article aborde diverses questions d’histoire, de stratégie et d’avenir pour ces deux disciplines, qui sont très proches à plus d’un égard. C’est ainsi que les deux chercheurs se retrouvent sur le rôle central des terrains urbains dans le développement des deux anthropologies, qu’Emmanuelle Lallement présente un programme de recherche sur les échanges marchands et qu’Yves Winkin offre une synthèse de sa conception de l’enchantement. En filigrane, on voit apparaître une pointe de découragement chez Yves Winkin, qui estime que l’anthropologie de la communication est enseignée, mais n’est guère utilisée par les chercheurs en communication, du moins en France, et l’on voit Emmanuelle Lallement lui proposer de faire cause commune pour défendre une anthropologie urbaine qui oserait assumer autant l’analyse des politiques de l’éphémère festif comme Paris-Plage que celle de la communication marchande dans la ville.
