Literackie fizjonomie Wilna czasów Kraszewskiego z Litwą w tlePrzegląd problematyki w świetle najnowszego stanu badań Zainteresowanie Litwą i Wileńszczyzną XIX wieku od kilku dziesięcioleci utrzymuje się na wysokim poziomie.Stale wzrasta liczba publikacji poświęconych polsko-litewskim związkom historycznym i kulturalnym.Powstają prace z różnych dyscyplin o charakterze naukowym i popularyzatorskim, począwszy od monografii, a skończywszy na przewodnikach po Litwie i Wileńszczyźnie, uwzględniających dziedzictwo przeszłości.Niniejszy przegląd dotyczy jedynie historycznoliterackich penetracji, ograniczonych do konkretnego miejsca i czasu, a także w znacznej mierze do spojrzenia jednego tylko świadka epoki -Józefa Ignacego Kraszewskiego.Taki wybór wynika po pierwsze ze swoistej "eksplozji" tematyki miejskiej w dzisiejszej humanistyce.Jak wiadomo, to właśnie w Wilnie -mieście wielu kulturogniskowało się polskie życie intelektualne związane z okresem świetności Uniwersytetu 1 .A Kraszewski, opuszczając miasto w 1833 roku, widział kres jego splendoru.Po latach wracał do niego we wspomnieniach będących czymś więcej niż tylko osobistym rozrachunkiem z epoką własnej młodości.Swojemu doświadczeniu Wilna nadał pisarz walor przeżycia pokoleniowego.Tutaj, w Wilnie rozwinęły się także naukowo-literackie pasje pisarza 2 S.
