Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with manipulation for knee osteoarthritis(KOA). Methods Eighty KOA outpatients were treated with acupuncture plus manipulation. Two weeks constitued one treatment course and the treatment covered 2 courses. Western Ontario and McMaster Universities(WOMAC) indexes of osteoarthritis(OA) and therapeutic effect on Chinese medical syndrome were adopted for the evaluation of clinical efficacy. Results( 1) After treatment for 2 courses, 48 cases(60.00%) were clinically cured, 22(27.50%) were markedly effective, 6(7.50%) were effective, and 4( 5.00%) were ineffective. The total effective rate was 95.00%.( 2) After treatment for 2 and 4 weeks, the scores of WOMAC indexes of general symptoms, pain, stiffness and daily activities were decreased, and the differences were significant compared with those before treatment(P0.05). Furthermore, the improvement of WOMAC scores after treatment for 4 weeks was superior to that after treatment for 2 weeks(P0.05).(3) No obvious toxic and side effect occurred during the treatment. Conclusion Acupuncture combined with manipulation is effective and safe for the treatment of KOA.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
