Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In the current Chinese Code for Design of Steel Structures GB 50017-2003[1],no consideration of the torsional action in the stability design about beams and beam-columns is made, but in the Chinese Technical Code for Design of Cold-Formed Thin-Walled Steel Structures GB 50018-2002,the torsional action is considered in the stability design of beams and beam-columns about mono-axial or biaxial bending action. This paper addresses the theoretical analysis and stability design of simply supported I-section steel beam-columns under combined axial compression, biaxial bending and torsion. This design method may be recommended for the revision of the Chinese Code for Design of Steel Structures. Up to now, many foreign scholars engaged in their researches about steel members under torsional action. This paper introduces several new study results about beams and beam-columns under torsional action. These new study results may be referenced for the revision of the Chinese Code for Design of Steel Structures. This paper introduces the recommendation for stability design of the compact and non-compact beams by German scholars Lindner,J. and Glitsch,T.[2] from their theoretical analysis and experimental researches; Canadian scholar Ashkinadze,K.[3] revises the stability design method of simply supported wide-flange I-beams under torsion and extends this design method to the beam-columns; German scholars Kindmann,R. and Wolf,C.[4] engage in their experimental researches about simply supported I- and U-section members under torsional action; Japanese scholars Kitada,T.,et al[5,6] engage in theoretical analysis and experimental researches about simply supported welded box section members under torsional action.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
