Abstract
The effects of NO on drought resistance of Medicago ruthenica seed germination by using different treatments included 0 mmol / L SNP,PEG,0. 01 mmol / L SNP + PEG,0. 05 mmol / L SNP + PEG,0. 1 mmol / L SNP + PEG,0. 5 mmol / L SNP + PEG,1. 0 mmol / L SNP + PEG. The results showed that under stress of PEG drought of-0. 6 MPa,Medicago ruthenica seed germination rate,germination potential,germination index and vigor index decreased compared with the control. Low concentrations of SNP( 0. 01 mmol / L) have the strongest alleviation for PEG simulated drought stress of Medicago ruthenic seed germination rate and germination potential. When the concentration of SNP is 0. 05 mmol / L,the germination,vigor index of Medicago ruthenic seed is the highest,root length and shoot of the seedling is the largest,growing with excellent. Exogenous NO can significantly increase seedlings biomass of Medicago ruthenic,when concentrations of SNP is 0. 05 mmol / L,0. 1 mmol / L and 1. 0 mmol / L,it can increase fresh weight significantly; when concentrations of SNP is lower( 0. 01 mmol / L),dry weight of seeding increase.
