Abstract

Seedlings morphology of Solanum rostratum Dunal.were observed using paraffin section technique and hand-held slicing method.The results indicated that:stomata frequency length of Solanum rostratum was 1.2-1.8cm,width was 0.2-0.6cm,and thickness was 180-270μm.There was 1 layer of palisade cells,and it's thickness was 155-165μm.And there was considerately developed spongy tissue,it was a large proportion of mesophyll and the thickness was 155-165μm.Stomata was on both the upper and lower epidermical layers.The average index of stomata was 46.1.Leaves length of Solanum rostratum was 2-2.5cm,width was 1.5-2cm,and thickness was 220-340μm,1 layer of palisade cells thickness was 108-114μm,spongy tissue cells had 4 to 6 layers,and the thickness were 111-118μm.Both upper and lower epidermis had epidermal hain hair.There was chloroplas in the dermis cell,and vascular bundle was double-phloema.There was 1 layer root epidermal cells closely collocated.Ermis was composed of paremchyma cells,and there was casparian strip on it.
