Clinical Observation of Penetration Acupuncture Therapy Combined with Auricular Plaster Therapy for Postoperative Pain of Hip Fracture in Senile Patients

Abstract
Objective To observe the analgesia effect of penetration acupuncture therapy combined with auricular plaster therapy for the treatment of postoperative pain of hip fracture in senile patients.Methods Sixty aged hip fracture patients were equally randomized into treatment group and control group.The treatment group was treated with penetration acupuncture therapy and auricular plaster therapy,and the control group was given intramuscular injection of tramadol hydrochloride injection.Before treatment,and 30 minutes and 2,6,24 hours after treatment,pain rating index(PRI)was assessed by using the short-form McGill Pain Questionnaire(SF-MPQ),pain scoring was made according to Visual Analog Scale(VAS),and present pain intensity(PPI) was examined in both groups.The adverse reaction was also evaluated after surgery.Results After treatment,the total scores of PRI,VAS scores and PPI scores were all decreased in both groups at various time points after treatment(P0.01 compared with those before treatment),and the differences of PRI total scores,VAS scores,and PPI scores 30 min and 6h after treatment were significant between the two groups(P0.05).The incidence of adverse reaction in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Penetration acupuncture therapy combined with auricular plaster therapy has similar effect to tramadol hydrochloride in relieving postoperative pain of hip fracture,and is rapid in starting analgesia effect but has less adverse reaction.
