El Instituto de Farmacia y Alimentos de la Universidad de la Habana, con el auspicio de organizaciones nacionales vinculadas con las Ciencias Farmaceuticas y Alimentarias, celebro el III Encuentro de Ciencias Farmaceuticas y Alimentarias 2015, que tuvo lugar en La Habana, Cuba, los dias 10 y 11 de diciembre de 2015. Es nuestro deber propiciar intercambios cientificos que guiados por la academia, contribuyan a la conformacion de nuevas metas personales que comprometan cada dia mas a los profesionales con la humanidad. Este encuentro propone favorecer el intercambio de experiencias entre profesionales de estas areas del conocimiento, puesto que el desarrollo acelerado de la ciencia y la tecnologia exigen la actualizacion continua de los expertos, tecnicos e investigadores vinculados a estas ramas del saber. Los participantes pudieron, colateralmente, conocer y disfrutar de la belleza natural de nuestro pais y descubrir nuestra riqueza historica, cultural y social. Mas de 160 investigadores de universidades, institutos y centros de investigacion, hospitales y organizaciones empresariales se dieron cita en este encuentro, con el objetivo de presentar resultados cientificos que contribuyan al desarrollo de las Ciencias Farmaceuticas y Alimentarias, ademas de establecer y fortalecer lazos de colaboracion e integracion. El Comite Organizador resalta la presencia de delegados de 9 paises: Cuba, E.U.A., Canada, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras, Nigeria y Argentina. Asi mismo, fueron presentadas 170 ponencias durante las 11 sesiones cientificas del evento. Estos elementos avalan el alcance y la importancia del encuentro, permitiendo el intercambio fructifero y enriquecedor entre especialistas de diferentes disciplinas.
