Improvement of Ion Chromatographic Method for Determination of Ammonia in Mainstream Cigarette Smoke
Bibliographic record
Abstract
In order to determine the ammonia in mainstream cigarette smoke accurately, ion chromatography(IC) method was improved, and the improved method was applied to determine the ammonia in mainstream smoke of 59 cigarettes measured under ISO and Health Canada(HC) smoking regimes, respectively. The results showed that: 1) The samples were collected, extracted, and purified by graphitized carbon blacks(GCB) column, then determined by ion chromatography using Dionex IonPac CS16 cation exchange column with methane sulfonic acid(MSA) as eluent.2) The calibration curve of ammonia was linear in the range of 0 to 1 μg/mL with the correlation coefficient of 0.9992 and the limit of detection of 0.0067 μg/mL.The recoveries ranged from 96% to 104% with the relative standard deviation of 2.8% to 4.5%.3) The ammonia measured under HC smoking regime was in the range of 173% to 378% relative to that measured under ISO smoking regime. The problems in sample solution stability and pollution to chromatographic system were eliminated.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
