Con la finalidad de conocer y entender la respuesta fisiologica de la Morera (Morus alba) como especie potencial forrajera en la implementacion de sistemas sillvipastoriles en la Cuenca del Rio Guacha, limites entre Belen - Boyaca y Encino – Santander, como propuesta para reducir los limites de la frontera agricola y aumentar el area de conservacion del ultimo corredor de Roble Guantiva – La Rusia – Iguaque en Colombia. Para ello, se realizo un Diseno Completamente al Azar (DCA) con dos tratamientos y tres repeticiones, teniendo un total de 6 Unidades Experimentales (UE). Para el Tratamiento T1 se ubicado en la finca 1 con una altitud de 2030 msnm y condiciones climaticas de precipitacion maxima de 240 mm y min. de 20 mm durante los 4 meses del experimento acompanado, con una temperatura promedio de 18oC. El Tratamiento T2 se ubico en la Finca 2 a 2730 msnm con condiciones climatologicas de precipitacion maxima de 147 mm y minima de 59 mm con Temperatura promedio de 14oC durante los 4 meses del experimento. Este se realizo en la epoca de pocas lluvias. Se realizaron muestreos destructivos cada 30 dias para medir area foliar, peso en seco, peso en humedo y determinar la Tasa De Asimilacion Neta TAN, Tasa Absoluta de crecimiento TAC y Tasa Relativa de Crecimiento TRC. Las estacas de morera se ubicaron en un vivero temporal a 2700 msnm en la verada Canada en el encino Santander por un tiempo de 6 meses, donde hubo una perdida de del 50% del material y poca homogeneidad, debido al origen de las estacas y la no utilizacion de enraizante en el momento de hacer las chapolas. Los resultados mostraron que no existieron diferencias significativas entre los tratamientos, sin embargo, para los dos tratamientos la tasa Absoluta de Crecimiento, la Tasa Relativa de Creciente y la Tasa de Asimilacion Neta presentan resultados positivos en un proceso fisiologico lento de adaptacion mostrado un potencial como planta para un sistema silvopastoril en la Cuenca del rio Guacha.
