Este artigo apresenta um recorte de uma pesquisa qualitativa que teve por objetivo investigarcontribuições de abordagens intuitivas de noções de Topologia Geométrica para a formação de umgrupo de mestrandos de um Mestrado Profissionalizante em Ensino de Matemática. Por meio deuma oficina pedagógica doze mestrandos realizaram atividades pedagógicas envolvendo Faixa de Mebius e Garrafa de Klein para aquisição de propriedades topológicas elementares, após teremrespondido um questionário inicial que identificou o conhecimento prévio deles a respeito doassunto. Por meio de gravações em vídeo, questionários inicial e final, análise de registrosproduzidos pelos estudantes foi feita a análise dos dados coletados. Concluímos que atividadesutilizando materiais manipulativos pode fazer com que a intuição produza conhecimento comoindicado por Fischbein (1987) no sentido da aquisição de propriedades topológicas elementaresuma vez que tais propriedades precedem as euclidianas, pois independem de medidas e facilitam arepresentação do espaço.
