As the newly elected President of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics, I welcome our members as they receive their third issue of the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine (JCM). The Council has had a busy few months, which began with executive committee elections for the offices of the President and Secretary. Dr Jennifer Brocker, former Vice President of the Council, was elected President, and Dr Jennifer Murphy was elected Secretary. Dr Julie Hartman was appointed to fill the vacant Vice President position, and Dr Elise Hewitt became the Immediate Past-President. Together with the new members of the executive committee, I look forward to further supporting and advancing the specialty of chiropractic pediatrics. The Council recently held our annual symposium in conjunction with the ACA Council on Physiological Therapeutics and Rehabilitation in Las Vegas, NV. In a combination of plenary sessions and pediatric-specific sessions, speakers covered a variety of topics that included An Introduction to Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization Techniques, Rehabilitation Exercises for Scoliosis Management, Diagnosis and Management of Tongue Tie, and An Introduction to Craniosacral Therapy. The collaboration was well received by members of both councils, and we look forward to future collaborative events.
