Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

SWIMS is a Norwegian designer brand which produces a rejuvenated galosh,\nthat is targeted to the high end costumer, and appeals to the fashion conscious.\nThey have in a fast pace expanded during the last years, to the USA, Canada,\nEurope, Russia, Japan and Korea. Our project has been applied as a research\nregarding the Singaporean and Hong Kong market. Our problem definition\nclarifies the core essence of our work.\n“What channels, both distribution and retailers, are most suitable and can be\nused by SWIMS to sell their products in the Singaporean and Hong Kong\nmarkets.”\nThrough exploratory research we conduct a qualitative study of semi-structured\ninterviews, by dividing it into three levels. First we reviewed the competition in\nthe market and then we did research of the end consumers. Through many\nlevels of sampling of the various questionnaires we found new information that\nguided us towards the key persons. We focused on the issue of locating the\nutmost perfect locations, which suits the brand image and targeted market for\nthe SWIMS galoshes.\nThe next level was to explore the retailers in the market that we narrowed\ndown to a couple of locations, which we feel could be suited for the SWIMS\n“idea”. The connection further on to the distributors gave us many difficult\nchallenges. As the cultural differences are definitely shown, we came to the point where we would choose to give the new acquaintances to the company,\nwith our following recommendations.\nThe Singapore market is not ready for the product as it is today. The Hong\nKong market has the environment that SWIMS will need to succeed, if they\nwish to proceed with exporting to Hong Kong. Through direct export to\nÉxtravaganza and Lane Crawford, the SWIMS will sustain their brand equity\nand expand the brand to a new vibrant market.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
