NOTE DE L'ÉDITEURCet article a été originalement publié en portugais dans « Laboreal volume IX, no 1, 2013, pp 87-94.» 1 Dans cette livraison, nous commentons deux textes complémentaires présentant le concept d'image opérative élaboré par le psychologue russe Dimitri Ochanine et l'usage qui en a été fait dans la psychologie du travail et l'ergonomie en France.Le texte d'Ochanine, Rôle de l'image opérative dans la saisie du contenu informationnel des signaux, publié en 1969, dans le numéro 4 de la revue soviétique « Questions de psychologie » met en évidence les idées et la méthodologie de ce chercheur et l'importance de la structuration de l'image opérative dans la régulation de l'activité.Il a été traduit en français par son fils, Igor Ochanine, et publié avec d'autres articles en 1981 par le Centre d'éducation permanente du Département d'ergonomie et d'écologie humaine (Université de Paris I -Panthéon-Sorbonne) dirigé par le docteur Cazamian (1915Cazamian ( -2012)), dans un document intitulé L'image opérative.Le texte de Catherine Teiger, Présentation schématique du concept de représentation en ergonomie, paru dans un ouvrage collectif consacré à la diversité des analyses du travail en fonction des disciplines (Dadoy et coll., 1977), revient sur les caractéristiques de l'image opérative (finalisation, sélectivité, laconisme, déformation fonctionnelle) en mettant ce concept en lien avec les questions qui se posaient alors concernant le statut et l'analyse des représentations.L'image opérative de Dimitri Ochanine en contexte Perspectives interdisciplinaires sur le travail et la santé, 18-1 | 2016
