Les partenariats entre des acteurs des coles de langue franaise et ceux du milieu communautaire et associatif sont de plus en plus courants en Ontario. Or, on ne sait que trs peu leur sujet. Cet article tente de mieux clairer ce que signifie l'entreprise partenariale pour les acteurs scolaires. partir d'une recension des crits, une dfinition idaltypique d'un partenariat cole-communaut est construite et quatre dimensions sont identifies pour guider une analyse plus approfondie des partenariats : l'identification et la provenance des partenaires (secteurs scolaire et/ou communautaire), l'initiative du projet, sa dure et les rles dvolus chacun des partenaires. L'analyse des rsultats de sondages auprs des directions des conseils scolaires et de questionnaires auprs de directions scolaires dmontre que les coles de langue franaise en Ontario entretiennent avec leur communaut des activits diversifies surtout pour le bnfice des lves. L'analyse dvoile par contre qu'une certaine confusion rgne quant la dfinition d'un partenariat cole-communaut chez les acteurs scolaires interrogs. Mme si plusieurs d'entre eux considrent leurs projets ponctuels comme des partenariats cole-communaut, peu de partenariats dclars se rapprochent de la dfinition idealtypique labore dans le cadre de cette tude.
