espanolEn los ultimos anos se esta produciendo una importante renovacion varietal en el cultivo del cerezo, con la introduccion de nuevas variedades obtenidas en programas de mejora de distintos paises. Entre los objetivos de estos programas, destaca la ampliacion del periodo de recoleccion. En este trabajo se describe un grupo de variedades de cerezo de maduracion tardia, que pueden ser interesantes en las zonas de produccion mas tardias. Se han seleccionado variedades cuya epoca de maduracion se produce al menos 30 dias despues que ‘Burlat’, que se considera variedad de referencia. Se incluyen variedades ya establecidas, como ‘Skeena’, ‘Sweetheart’, ‘Staccato’ y las picotas espanolas ‘Ambrunes’, ‘Pico Colorado’ y ‘Pico Negro’, junto a nuevas obtenciones procedentes de Alemania (‘Regina’), Canada (‘Sovereign’, ‘Sentennial’, ‘Simphony’), Estados Unidos (‘Royal Helen’), Francia (‘Fertard’) y Hungria (‘Alex’). One of the main objectives of these programs is the extension of the cherry recollection period. In this work, a group of sweet cherry varieties is described, whose ripening time occurs at least 30 days after the ripening time of ‘Burlat’. Traditional cultivars have been included, as ‘Skeena’, ‘Sweetheart’, ‘Staccato’ and the Spanish picotas ‘Ambrunes’, ‘Pico Colorado’ and ‘Pico Negro’, as well as new cultivars introduced in the last years from Germany (‘Regina’), Canada (‘Sovereign’, ‘Sentennial’, ‘Simphony’), the United States (‘Royal Helen’), France (‘Fertard’) and Hungary (‘Alex’).
