Abstract
Diagnosen ADHD har varit mycket omdiskuterad, dels för att läkare och forskare inte\nhar varit överens om dess patologiska förklaring, behandling eller ens om dess existens\noch detta har fångat författarnas intresse. Syftet är att belysa föräldrars upplevelse och\ninställning till medicinering av sina barn med ADHD. Studien är en litteraturöversikt\nenligt Friberg med analys av sju kvalitativa artiklar. Resultatet presenteras i tre\nhuvudkategorier: Familjen kring det diagnostiserade barnet, Barnet med ADHD och\nAndras åsikter om diagnos/behandling av barnet med ADHD med tillhörande nio\nsubkategorier. I diskussionen tas upp bland annat skillnaden mellan mödrar och fäders\ninställning till ADHD och medicinering och tankar kring anledningar till detta. Vidare\ndiskuteras också påtryckningar föräldrar upplever från andra när det kommer till\nmedicinering av barnet med ADHD samt hur de ser på sitt barns olika symtom och\nperson.
