L’abondance, la diversité et la richesse entomologiques liées à trois modes de gestion de la ligne d’arbres ont été comparées dans un verger de pommiers en production biologique à Victoriaville (Québec, Canada). Les traitements étudiés étaient le système «Sandwich» avec Trifolium repens, Lotus corniculatus et Festuca ovina (TLF), le système «Sandwich» avec Pilosella officinarum (EP) et le paillis de bois de taille fragmenté (BRF). Pour l’étude, des relevés hebdomadaires d’insectes ont été effectués au filet et avec des pièges Barber entre le 13 juillet et le 8 septembre 2015. La faune entomologique capturée aux pièges Barber dans le traitement EP était significativement plus diversifiée et plus riche, tandis que la faune entomologique capturée au filet était significativement plus diversifiée et plus riche dans la variante TLF. Le système «Sandwich» semble un bon moyen d’augmenter la diversité entomologique mais, à ce stade, aucun des deux systèmes «Sandwich» ne peut être conseillé pour lutter biologiquement contre les ravageurs.
