LA FORMATION D'ENSEIGNANTS QUALIFIÉS EN SCIENCES: UNE SOLUTION ORIGINALE FONDÉE SUR LA COOPÉRATION ENTRE FACULTÉS
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Editor's note: This article describes the version of the secondary teacher education program in science that has been in place at McGill University since 1997. Although the program is now being modified in sorne important ways as a result of changes in the Ministry of Education's requirements, the essential feature of inter-faculty collaboration - described in detail below - remains intact. PREPARING EXCELLENT SCIENCE TEACHERS: AN INNOVATIVE SOLUTION BASED ON INTER-FACULTY COOPERATION ABSTRACT. This article describes an initiative to train excellent secondary school science teachers, while respecting the recent directives of the Ministry of Education of Quebec, Canada. As a result of this initiative, students pursue two degrees concurrently: the Bachelor of Science and the Bachelor of Education. The curriculum meets the requirements of both programs and could not have been realized without a sincere desire for cooperation between the two faculties involved. We believe that the model will be useful beyond the English cornmunity in Quebec, since it has already provided a prototype for collaboration between McGill and a French language university.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
